Liberty Weekly Update
📅 Viking Pride
As we begin to wrap up state testing, we are excited to shift our focus toward finishing the school year strong. Our students have worked incredibly hard, and we want to keep that momentum going in the weeks ahead. With many classroom field trips coming up, there will be great opportunities for students to apply their learning in fun and meaningful ways. We encourage students to continue showing their best effort, making positive choices, and representing our school with pride both in the classroom and out in the community. Let’s make these final weeks a positive and memorable end to a great year!
🏫 Pick-Up Drop Off Procedure
Just a few friendly reminders to keep our drop off line moving in the mornings:
- If you are the first car along the curb, please pull all the way up to the first blue cone. Students should use the entire sidewalk between the cones to exit vehicles.
- Your child should remain in your vehicle until the bell rings at 9:00 am.
- Parents should not park and walk through the parking lot. If your child needs help opening the car door, one of the staff members outside will help.
- If your child has a snack/treat/or extra things to carry, please do not park. Come through the line and a staff member will help him/her.
- Please have your child seated on the passenger side of the vehicle so he/she can exit closest to the sidewalk.
- Remind your child to walk on the sidewalk near the cones and not the parking lot after he/she exits your vehicle.
- The tardy bell rings at 9:15, your child should be in the building before the bell rings.
- During pick up time please be courteous of others. Our preschool parents park and do come up to get their child so please be courteous of them in the parking lot.
- Please make sure that your child knows what things they need to get out before they enter in the morning for the detectors.
🚌 Transportation
Some buses have rolled out with seat belts. Please remind your child that they are to wear their seat belt. Students need to also be in their assigned seat as well.

Weapon Detectors
Our students have done an excellent job learning how to go through the weapons detectors each morning. With practice and patience, the process has gone very smoothly, and we have been able to get all students into the building before 9:15 each day. Much of this success is thanks to the support from our families in helping students be prepared each morning. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep our school safe!

If you have a child who will be five years old on or before the required date, we encourage you to begin the registration process as soon as possible. Early registration helps us plan for classrooms, staffing, and special events to ensure a smooth start to the year. 📅 State Testing/iReady Testing
As we wrap up our state testing this week, we want to thank our students and families for their continued support and encouragement. Our schedule includes 4th grade Math on Monday and Tuesday, 3rd grade Math on Wednesday and Thursday, and 5th grade Science on Thursday and Friday. We are proud of the hard work our students have shown throughout the testing window. As testing concludes for our upper grades, our younger students will begin their iReady diagnostic assessments in both Math and Reading. These assessments help us better understand each child’s progress and guide instruction moving forward. Thank you for helping ensure your child is well-rested and ready to do their best each day!
May 8th Orientation Day/ Online Learning Day
Our 5th grade students will be making their way to the middle school on the 8th for Orientation Day. Fifth grade parents can find that information here.
All other students will be having an online learning day. So parents please plan accordingly, as teachers will let you know expectations for the day.
Kindergarten Field Trip
Our Kindergarten students' recent trip to the Eco Center was a wonderful experience for our students! They had the opportunity to rotate through a variety of engaging stations filled with fun, hands-on activities that sparked curiosity and excitement about the world around them. From exploring nature to participating in interactive learning experiences, students were fully engaged throughout the visit. They returned with big smiles on their faces, eagerly sharing stories about all the fun they had. It was a memorable day filled with learning, laughter, and discovery!
