Liberty Weekly Update
📅 Viking Pride
Spring Break will take place March 23rd through March 27th. We hope this time provides our students and families an opportunity to relax, recharge, and spend time together. We look forward to welcoming everyone back to school rested and ready to finish the final stretch of the school year! 🌼
🏫 Pick-Up Drop Off Procedure
Just a few friendly reminders to keep our drop off line moving in the mornings:
- If you are the first car along the curb, please pull all the way up to the first blue cone. Students should use the entire sidewalk between the cones to exit vehicles.
- Your child should remain in your vehicle until the bell rings at 9:00 am.
- Parents should not park and walk through the parking lot. If your child needs help opening the car door, one of the staff members outside will help.
- If your child has a snack/treat/or extra things to carry, please do not park. Come through the line and a staff member will help him/her.
- Please have your child seated on the passenger side of the vehicle so he/she can exit closest to the sidewalk.
- Remind your child to walk on the sidewalk near the cones and not the parking lot after he/she exits your vehicle.
- The tardy bell rings at 9:15, your child should be in the building before the bell rings.
- During pick up time please be courteous of others. Our preschool parents park and do come up to get their child so please be courteous of them in the parking lot.
- Please make sure that your child knows what things they need to get out before they enter in the morning for the detectors.
🚌 Transportation
Some buses have rolled out with seat belts. Please remind your child that they are to wear their seat belt. Students need to also be in their assigned seat as well.

Weapon Detectors
Our students have done an excellent job learning how to go through the weapons detectors each morning. With practice and patience, the process has gone very smoothly, and we have been able to get all students into the building before 9:15 each day. Much of this success is thanks to the support from our families in helping students be prepared each morning. Thank you for your continued support as we work together to keep our school safe!

Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration is now open, and we are so excited to welcome our newest Liberty Vikings for the upcoming school year! If you have a child who will be five years old on or before the required date, we encourage you to begin the registration process as soon as possible. Early registration helps us plan for classrooms, staffing, and special events to ensure a smooth start to the year. We can’t wait to meet our future kindergarten students and partner with our families as they begin their Liberty journey!

🕑PTO
Our PTO is gearing up for an exciting few months ahead as we begin planning for Field Day! This is always a favorite event for our students, filled with fun activities, teamwork, and lots of smiles. We are so grateful for our PTO and their continued support in creating memorable experiences for our students. Stay tuned for more details on how you can get involved and help make Field Day a great success!
📅 Monthly Assembly
Our recent assembly was filled with excitement and celebration! Students had a blast earning the opportunity to silly string their teachers—a fun activity that brought lots of laughter and smiles to everyone in the room. It was a great way to celebrate positive behavior and build our school community. We also took time to recognize our Students of the Month for both February and March. These students have demonstrated outstanding character, effort, and leadership, and we are incredibly proud of the example they set for others. Keep up the great work, Vikings!

📚🏆 i-Ready Viking Challenges Are Underway!
We are excited to share that Liberty Elementary is kicking off weekly i-Ready competitions that will run through the end of the school year! Each week, students will work together with their classmates to complete i-Ready lessons and earn points for their class. The class in each grade level with the highest progress will earn a trophy and enjoy some well-earned bragging rights for the week!
Each challenge will look a little different, keeping things fun and motivating for students. In addition, the top-performing student in each grade level will earn a Viking Chain to wear proudly throughout the week.
How families can help:
Students can complete i-Ready lessons at home, and your encouragement and support make a big difference! Even a few extra lessons can help students grow and contribute to their class’s success.
Thank you for partnering with us as we motivate students, celebrate effort, and continue building strong learning habits—Viking style!
