📅 Getting Into the Swing of Things

We are really starting to get into the swing of things here at Liberty! Our teachers have enjoyed getting to know your children and learning more about their strengths, personalities, and learning styles. As we move further into the school year, we will begin diving deeper into our curriculum and starting our iReady testing. We kindly ask that you help your child come to school each day ready to learn—well-rested, prepared, and encouraged—so that they can do their very best. Together, we can make this a successful year of growth and learning for all of our Liberty Vikings! Enjoy the three day weekend! 

🏫 Pick-Up Drop Off Procedure

Just a few friendly reminders to keep our drop off line moving in the mornings:

• If you are the first car along the curb, please pull all the way up to the first blue cone. Students should use the entire sidewalk between the cones to exit vehicles.
• Your child should remain in your vehicle until the bell rings at 9:00 am.
• Parents should not park and walk through the parking lot. If your child needs help opening the car door, one of the staff members outside will help.
• If your child has a snack/treat/or extra things to carry, please do not park.  Come through the line and a staff member will help him/her.
• Please have your child seated on the passenger side of the vehicle so he/she can exit closest to the sidewalk.
• Remind your child to walk on the sidewalk near the cones and not the parking lot after he/she exits your vehicle.
• The tardy bell rings at 9:15, your child should be in the building before the bell rings.

 

📋 Final Forms Completion

As we get the year underway, we ask all families to please take a few minutes to complete and update your Final Forms. These forms are essential for ensuring we have the most accurate and up-to-date information for your child, including emergency contacts, medical details, and permissions. Having these completed helps us keep every student safe and supported throughout the school year. Thank you for your attention to this important step!

 

🚌 Transportation

Seat belts on buses will be mandatory for this school year. Please encourage your child to put their seat belt on, so we can continue to keep students safe.

🎓TEACH Grant Winners

We are proud to share that both teachers have been awarded a grant to support exciting new classroom projects. Their dedication and creativity will provide even more opportunities for our students to learn and grow. Way to go, Mrs. Shubirg and Mrs. Wilcox—you make Liberty proud!

🎻String Night

Our students were able to try out a variety of orchestra instruments and see which one sparked their interest most. Thank you to our music staff for organizing such a great event, and to our families for supporting their children as they begin this new musical journey. We look forward to hearing the beautiful sounds of our future orchestra!

 

 

📷 Picture Day

Picture Day is coming on September 22nd—say cheese! Send your child in their favorite, school-appropriate outfit and brightest smile. We’ll handle the rest! 

 

📑 School Fees

School fees for the 2025–2026 year are now posted to student accounts. You’ll also see an optional Technology Protection Plan (Chromebook Insurance) listed—this is not required.

If you want the insurance, please pay by October 1, 2025. After that date, the insurance charge will be removed from accounts for families who did not opt in.

Dear Liberty Elementary Families:

Liberty Elementary Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) is committed to

supporting the programs and activities that make our school special. We

rely on fundraisers and donations from generous families and community

members like you to fund these programs.

Throughout the year, the PTO's primary goals include field trips, dances,

new playground balls, swings, school shirts, new kickball area, movie

nights, Breakfast with Santa, teacher requests, assemblies, teacher

appreciation week, end of the year Field Day, Fun Night and much more.

We are thrilled to announce the Pick a Date to Donate Fundraiser for this

school year! Our calendar fundraiser month will be September. The

calendars and all monies will n e e d to be turned in to the students' class/home

room teacher no later than Friday, October 3, 2025.

H o w It Wo r k s :

This simple fundraiser allows participants to choose any date(s) of the

calendar month and make a donation matching that date. You may choose

one day or multiple days to donate. For example, if you choose the 15th, you

donate $15, if you choose the 12m and the 21s you donate $33.

Any student that fills up their calendar completely ($465.00) will receive a

$50 amazon gift card. There will be prizes for winning classes and rewards

for students that participate and additional rewards for those students that

reach different monetary levels for the fundraiser.

100% of the proceeds will go to the PTO fund.

Please have checks, Venmo, PayPal, cash app, etc. sent directly to you the

parent and submit cash and/or • o n e c h e c k written to the I Liberty

Elementary School PTO.

Calendar Pick a Date to Donate Fundraiser Rewards/Prizes

S t u d e n t :

-Every $50 raised, student will pick from the candy prize box

-Every student that raises $300.00 gets 30 seconds in the

money booth

-Every student that raises $450.00 or more receives $50.00

Amazon gift card

C l a s s :

-Class that raises the most receives a pizza party

and one hour of time in gym once a month for rest of year

arranged with teacher on non-gym week

-Class that raises the second most receives a pizza party

-Grade level that r a i s e s the m o s t r e c e i v e s

a choice of a pizza party, ice cream party or cookie party

The spirit wear sale began and ended on 9/9/2025. All merchandise is currently 25% off and you get free shipping on orders over $75. A small amount of proceeds will go back to Liberty Elementary.
